Funeral Rites Held at Collins for Mrs. Eva Warrell

Collins, Feb. 11--Funeral services for the late Mrs. Eva Warrell of Collins, who passed away Saturday morning, Feb. 6, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Joe Stratton, were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. from the local Church of Christ with the Rev. W. J. Stevens of Washington, Ia., in charge of the services.

A quarted composed of Mrs. L. M. Hall, Mrs. L. D. Holland, E. S. Stuntz and Tom Huntrods, with Mrs. Hugh Fertig at the piano sang "Beautiful Isle," "Old Rugged Cross" and "Rock of Ages."

The floral offerings were arranged at the church and grave by Miss Ada Swalwell and Mrs. Steven Inman. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery at Collins, the pallbearers being T. H. Morrison, Frank Cleverly, Ed Stratton, Steve Inman, Stark Atwood and Bob Taylor.

The following brief obituary was read at the services.

Eva Clapper Warrell, daughter of Harmon and Catherine Clapper was born, March 5, 1957 in Wayne county, Ind., and passed away February 6, 1943 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. T. Stratton, at the advanced age of 85 years and 11 months. A year after her birth her parents moved to Jasper county, Iowa, where she spent most of her life. In 1876 she was married to Charles E. Warrell at Clyde, Iowa. To this union four children were born, Mrs. Edith Stratton of Collins; Mrs. Lola Penquite of Colfax; Mrs. Mabel Halterman of Parkersburg, West Va. and Oral Warrell who preceded her in death. She also leaves to mourn her loss 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, besides a host of other relatives and friends. In her girlhood days she became a member of the Universal Church of Mitchellville, Iowa.

Mrs. Warrell lived for a number of years in Collins and by her kindness, patience and Christian living endeared herself tot he entire community. She will be truly mourned by all.
