OBITUARY

MRS. PATRICK FORD

Mrs. Patrick Ford died at her home in Nevada November 28, 1916 of heart trouble brought on by several years of failing strength. Catherine Gallagher was born 78 years ago in County Roscommon, Ireland and came to this country when a young girl. She was married to Patrick Ford May 18, 1857 at Woodstock, Ill. Later they moved to Iowa where they have lived since in Story county for the 42 years having been for five years in Nevada and previously on a farm north of Nevada. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, beloved by all who knew her. She leaves her aged husband, five sons and two daughter, Mrs. D. E. Maher of Chicago; George of Superior, Wis.; John of Trinidad, Colo.; Frank of Chicago; Willie of Nebr.; Chas. and Agnes at home besides four grandchildren. Three daughters preceded her, Mary, Bridget and Kathryn. Requiem High Mass was celebrated by Father Nichols Thursday forenoon and interment was in the Catholic cemetery.
