Garry David Harrison, 77, of Nevada, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019, at his home in Nevada.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, September 9, at Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home (1418 Fawcett Pkwy) in Nevada. A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, at the Nevada First United Methodist Church (1036 7th Street) in Nevada with Pastor Mike Carey officiating. Burial will follow at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada.

Garry was born September 13, 1941, the son of Marion and Alma (Dunahoo) Harrison. He graduated from Shipley High School and was united in marriage to Phyllis Franz on December 1, 1961, at the First Assembly of God Church in Nevada. He owned Harrison Concrete Construction for 40 years and had managed Home Acres Trailer Court in Nevada. Garry enjoyed his gambling trips to Prairie Meadows and his favorite restaurant, Hickory Park. He was a man of few words and will be remembered as a great dad, grandpa, brother and friend.

Garry is survived by his children: Sheila (Charles) Smith, Shari (Ron) Clatt, David Harrison and Doug Harrison all of Nevada; his brother, Dean Harrison of Nevada; his granddaughters: Jordan, Jaclyn, Ashlee, Brandi, Rachel, Macy, Alizaya, Quince; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his brothers Wayne and Raymond Harrison; and a sister-in-law, Karen Harrison.

Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
