Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Jeanne Baughman of Ames passed away August 13, 2019 at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 20 at Adams Funeral Home, 502 Douglas Ave. Ames. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 21 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Ames. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Jeanne Alice Baughman was born on January 9, 1943 in Los Angeles, California to Peter & Alice Rumont. She married Robert "Bob" Baughman on February 14, 2001 at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Ames, IA.

Jeanne was a loving person with a kind heart which is why she excelled at her job as a Caregiver with Mainstream Living. On May 3, 2017 the American Network of Community Options and Resources recognized Jeanne as the 2017 Direct Support Professional of the Year for Iowa.. She was the kind of person who would do anything to help someone in need. Jeanne was always proud of her children and their biggest cheerleader. Jeanne was a gifted artist specializing in painting, she also enjoyed playing the organ and singing in the Riverside Opera Society. She loved cats, making jewelry, volunteering at Mary Greeley. She was also a very good cook.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Bob Baughman; four children, Tammy "David" Hansen of Clarksville, IA, Daniel "McKayla" Knight of Eugene, Oregon, Eric Knight of Boone, IA and Jack Scott "Lisa" Knight of Marshalltown, IA.; a sister, Priscilla Platt of La Habra, CA.; her grandchildren, Krystal "Nick" Duellman, Pierce "Haley" Draper, Rachael Hansen, Cody Hansen, Alex Hansen, Casey Knight, Logan Knight and Josie Knight, Tresonya, Izikaula, Jacquire, Ramkell and Annabel; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to the family.
