- - Susan Marie Reed died of cancer on Saturday December 23, 2017.

Sue, known for her absolute love of family, laughter, and outdoors has gone fishing for eternity. She was born to Wayne and Velma Ross on July 9, 1957. Her adventure began in Grundy County, where she learned the ways of life alongside her two brothers David and Steve (Carole) Ross. She went on to marry and raise three Brendeland boys, Bryan (Kelli), Allen, and Scott (Megan). She then married Robert Douglas Reed in 2003, welcomed by the Reed family of Bob Reed (Jenna) his sons Matthew and Bobby. Dave Reed (Lori) with their boys Eamon and Everett. Mindy Fine(Aaron) her children Brandon Caitlynn and Jayden (Kelderman) and Oliver and Alexi. Dustin Reed (Nicole) with Stormi and Draxxton. Together, Doug and Sue enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, canning, deck sitting, and family. Each summer a family barbeque was not to be missed. She was special. She taught her grandchildren to enjoy nature, listen to and laugh at Grandpa Doug's stories, and never take a moment for granted. From wild boar hunting to catfishing the river, setting up camp, or skinning squirrels, Sue was full of life and fun. She loved to listen to music and spend time with her grandkids Blake and Brady (Bryan), Tate and Tucker (Allen) Oscar and Mabel (Scott) as well as all of her extended family and friends. Above all, Sue led a life filled with a groovy kind of love. She and Doug loved and laughed each and every day together. She made her house a home, and is now at peace watching her family from above. The family will be hosting a celebration of Sue's life in the Spring.
