MANLY E. DAKINS

Manly E. Dakins, 89, of Zearing died Wednesday after a long illness.

He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge of Zearing, an active member of the Zearing Christian Church and had retired from farming after 50 yeas of activity. Recently he was an active seed products salesman in the Zearing area.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Christian Church in Zearing.

He is survived by 2 sons, Delos of Zearing and Donald of Reno, Nevada; three daughter, Mrs. Okol Mantz of Des Moines, Mrs. Annis Brouhard of Mobile, Illinois and Mrs. Bernadine Shaefer of Waterloo; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bethany; one son, Sam; an infant daughter; and one brother, Howard.
