Ruth E. Goodenow

Ruth Evangeline Goodenow, 86, of Colo died Feb. 15 at Mary Greeley Medical center in Ames of pneumonia.

She was born March 21, 1903, in Collins to John and Minnie Kimberly. She married Sidney Goodenow Aug. 3, 1940 in Des Moines and had been a resident of Colo since 1934. She was homemaker and a member of Colo United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and B F & T Club.

Goodenow was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and four brothers. Survivors include three sisters, Mildred Brinkman of Colo, Minnie Maxwell of Washington, and Kay Armstrong of Ames, one brother Harold Kimberly of Colo; six step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Feb. 16 at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada. Services were Feb. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Colo United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Colo Cemetery.
