FINAL RITES FOR MRS. CATHERINE EMERY

FUNERAL SERVICE FOR AGED WOMAN HELD AT HOME OF ONLY DAUGHTER

The funeral services for Mrs. Catherine Emery, 88, who died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Charles Morfoot Monday afternoon, were held a the home this morning at 10:00, after which the body, accompanied by the family and friends went to Perry where interment will be this afternoon.

The services were in charge of Rev. J. R. Adams of the Church of Christ, who preached the sermon, assisted by Rev. Hugh Yost of Memorial Lutheran church who read the scripture lesson from First Corrinthians 13 Chapter and Nintieth Psalm. Rev. Adams took his text from Hebrew 9:28-28, with the thought "Death Not Our Goal."

The deceased was born Catherine Obrist, near Dixon, Ill., March 23, 1839 and died as stated, at the home of her daughter Mrs. C. E. Morfoot Sr., December 12, 1927, aged 88 years, 8 months and 19 days, being the last of a family of ten children.

She was united in marriage to Charles Emery April 10, 1859 and Mr. Emery died December 31, 1870, at the age of 31 years, leaving the widow with three small children.

These children, W. J. Emery of Wilton, North Dakota, I. C. Emery of Coal Harbor, North Dakota and Mrs. Morfoot, at whose home she spent the past score of years of her life, she leaves to mourn the death of a kind and loving mother.

There are also two grandsons and two grand daughters, with numerous other relatives and friends, who will mourn the loss the this loved one.
