Funeral Service Held in Colo for Mrs. Hezzie Cheville

Funeral services for Mrs. Kate Cheville, wife of Hezzie Cheville, who passed away at their home in Colo, were heldd at the Evangelical church in Colo Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Mrs. Cheville had been ill with asthma for six years and had been bedfast the last year and a half. She had been feeling quite good until last Friday when she was taken worse and passed away Sunday afternoon at 1:20 p. m.

Kate Price was born at State Center August 23, 1871, and joined the Christian church in Zearing while a young girl. She was married to Hezzie Cheville at Nevada, Jan. 22, 1895, and spent her entire life in the community where she was born.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband and eight children, six daughters and two sons. The daughters are Ethel Nichols of Valeria, Clara Alexander, Colo; Pearl Miller, Marshalltown; Blanche Shearer, Colo; Dorothy Wood, Nevada, and Mable Foster, Waterloo. The sons are Harley of Ames and Kenneth of Nevada. She also leaves 29 grand children, two great grandchildren, two brothers in California and one sister in Colorado, besides a host of friends.

She was a loving wife and mother who will be greatly missed by all.
