Carrie Peterson, 98, dies-- rites set for Saturday

NEVADA--Funeral services will be held in the Memorial Lutheran Church Saturday, April 5th at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Walter Lack officiating for Mrs. Carrie Peterson, 1003 T Ave., Nevada, who died Wednesday evening at Story County Hospital where she had been for the past two months. She was 98.

Born to Paul and Anna Rurup on December 30, 1876 in Oxford, New Jersey, Mrs. Peterson had been a resident of Story County practically her entire lifetime. She had been a member of Memorial Lutheran Church and the Nevada Golden Agers organization.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Viola Taylor, Mrs. Harvey Collins and Mrs. Agnes Perry, all of Nevada, four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Herman; and her husband, George, who died in 1947.

Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada after noon Friday.

A memorial fund has been established.
