Mrs. Emma Boyd Dies at Story City

Story City, Feb. 17--Mrs. Emma Boyd, 52, died here Saturday night at 9:50 o'clock from a stroke which she had suffered the preceding Monday.

She was born at Jewell and came to Story City shortly after her marriage, living here 27 years. Her husband preceded her in death.

She is survived by six children, Mrs. LeVerne Dickenson, Jewell; Mrs. Merle Obrect, Belmond; Walter Boyd, Tokyo; T-5 Orville Boyd, returning from Japan, and Eldon and Marion, both at home, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Schlafke, Jewell.

Funeral services are pending arrival of T-5 Boyd, now on his way home. Burial will be at Jewell.
