Funeral services for the late Mrs. Sarah J. Birney whose death occurred Monday at 10 o'clock at her home 716 C avenue, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday morning at the Morfoot Funeral Hoe with the Rev. O. E. Cooley officiating.

Burial will be in the Webster City cemetery by the side of her husband who passed away a number of years ago.

Mrs. Birney was born in Ohio, Dec. 6, 1857, her parents being Henry and Mary Jane Wheeler.

Mother of nine children, four of whom are passed away, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Iva Young of Kansas City, Mo., who cared for her mother the past eight years, Mrs. Ella Rigdon of Newkirk, Okla., Mrs. Ruth Lund of Markle, Ind., two sons, Oscar Birney of Ortley, S. D., and Russell Birney of Brandon, Mo., She also leaves a brother T. H. Wheeler of Ohio, 20 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
