Mrs. Mabel Barber Dies at Home After a Heart Attack

Mrs. Mabel Barber, 73, of 707 Kellogg Ave., Ames, died at 7 a. m. today at her home following a heart attack.

She was born Oct. 10, 1888 at Nevada and lived most of her life in Story County with the exception of 15 years in Des Moines.

Mrs. Barber was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 1927.

Surviving are two brothers, Frank and E. C. Childs, both of Ames, and one sister, Mrs. Blanche Perry of San Francisco, Calif.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:30 from the Adams Funeral Home in Ames with the Rev. E. E. Peters of the E.U.B. Church officiating. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
