From Nevada Representative May 31, 1905 (page 2)

Mrs. Grant Allen.

The funeral of Mrs. Grant Allen was conducted by Elder McIntire at the Church of Christ in Zearing May 2, and the remains were laid to rest in the Zearing cemetery.

Anna Bell was born at Ottumwa, October 8, 1867, was married December 8, 1888 to Grant Allen; and the couple came to reside on a farm southeast of Zearing. The failure of Mrs. Allen's health led to the removal of the family one year ago to Milton, Oregon, and there Mrs. Allen's life ended on the 11th instant. The sorrowing husband brought back the lifeless remains to lay them beside those of their babe. His sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Turner, returning from a health seeking sojourn at Fort Collins, Colorado, arrived on the same train. The mother and two sisters of the deceased came from Ottumwa to attend the obsequies, and the old friends who dropped the tear of sympathy on the occasion were numberless. Two sons, Ora and Dot, aged respectively 15 and 10 years, remain to comfort the husband and father.
