John Peterson, 72, Dies At Home Here Thurs. Afternoon

John W. Peterson, 1311 7th St., Nevada, died at his home about 3:30 Thursday afternoon at the age of 72.

Peterson was born October 6, 1894 in Nevada, the son of Peter and Anna Lavina Peterson. He was a resident of Nevada his entire life and was a retired mail carrier.

On December 30, 1919 he was married to Miss Clara Helland at the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada, where he was a member.

He is survived by his wife, Clara, one brother Alfred Peterson of Nevada, five sisters, Mrs. Howard Gore, Mrs. Cecil Crosley, and Mrs. Donald Johns, all of Ames, Mrs. Roscoe Casad of Wheatland, Ia. and Mrs. Marie Conley of Marshalltown.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at the Ryan Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Harry Myklebust officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.
