MRS. CLARK APPLE CALLED BY DEATH

FUNERAL SERVICES TO BE HELD AT METHODIST CHURCH THURSDAY

Mrs. Clark Apple, 70 died at her home, 907 Lincoln avenue Tuesday afternoon about 3:00 from troubles from which she had been a sufferer for several weeks. Mrs. Apple who had been at Iowa sanitarium for treatment several days had been returned to her home but a few days before.

The funeral services will be held at the Methodist Episcopal church Thursday afternoon at 2:00 with her pastor, George Lawton, in charge assisted by Rev. Deedrick of the Evangelical church. Interment will be in the Nevada cemetery.

Mrs. Apple, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Cullison, was born near Deep River, Iowa, January 25, 1868, a daughter of William and Margaret Randalls-Cullison. She was first married to James E. Wall and to them two sons, were born, who survive the parents.

Their home was in the eastern part of the state for many years and Mr. Wall died at Marion in 1925. After the death of Mr. Wall she continued her home at Marion but spent her winters in Nevada with her sister, Mrs. Susan Elzy.

She was married to Clark Apple of Nevada, January 25, 1932 and their home had since been in the Apple residence on Lincoln avenue.

She leaves besides her husband, the two sons, Otto J. Wall and John Wall, both of near Center Point; a brother Jerry Cullison of Deep River; three sisters, Mrs. Delilah Phillips of Clear Lake, Mrs. Susan Elzy of Nevada and Mrs. Rebecca Rose of Delphi; 4 grandchildren and various other relatives.

She had become a member of the Methodist Episcopal church as a girl and held a membership in the denomination at Marion.

The deceased was a woman whose life had been devoted to her family and her home, with activities in her church and affiliated organizations. Her home and her flower gardens were he delight and it was there that she was found when opportunity afforded.

During her brief residence in Nevada she had made many warm friends who admired her for her many estimable qualities and the husband and other members of the family will receive the profound sympathy of a large circle of friends and neighbors.
