OBITUARY
OLE WALKER

The many friends and relatives of Ole Walker were sadly shocked on Saturday when they learned of his death which took place 3 1/2 hours after the engine of a C. & N. W. work train sped down a steep embankment near Buxton, Iowa about 8:30 Saturday morning.

Mr. Walker was born in Norway, Europe July 13, 1887. In April 1906 he came to America to the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Hactor Hill. After two years in this country he returned to his homeland for a period of one year.

Upon his return he took up railroading. He had at the time of his sudden death been an industrious and earnest employee of the Chicago and Northwestern railway company for ten years.

On Oct. 24, 1914 he was united in marriage to Nellie Cox at Breedville, Michigan. A little daughter about one year old is left to with her mother, mourn the early departure of a very affectionate husband and father. He leaves besides his wife and daughter, his father and mother in Norway, Europe, four uncles, one aunt and several cousins in this country.

On Monday evening the remains were brought here and taken to the home of his uncle Hactor Hill. The funeral services were held from the Grace church Tuesday afternoon Rev. Smith officiating. Interment was made at Fairview cemetery.

The following relatives accompanying Mrs. Walker and baby, Mrs. M. M. Cox (Mrs. Walker's mother) of Breedsville, Michigan; Chas. A. Cox and wife of Belle Plaine; John Hayes of Chicago. Other out of town people who came here in attendance of the funeral were B. Stout, I. Weed, G. Wilson, H. W. Bassett, R. Dickey, W. Hoff, G. James, W. Ulin, L. Hoff, W. Smith, T. Eshom, H. Ihles, Bob Payton, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wanen, Mr. and Mrs. H. Feichter and Mrs. W. J. Whaley all of Belle Plaine., L. E. Johnson, A. F. Cobb, C. E. Lane and R. R. Amber of Lovilla, Ia., and Mrs. A. Larson, Mrs. M. Grenlee, J. Funk and George Kenner of Miami, Iowa.
