Services Will Be On Friday Morning For Carl Swanson

Carl A. Swanson, 87, 511 J Avenue, died at Borton's Nursing Home at 1 p.m. Wednesday. He had been ill for the past two months.

Swanson was born in Sweden April 1, 1877, the son of Charles and Charlotte Swanson. He had been a Nevada resident for the past five years. He was married to Minnie Fish in 1916 in Springfield, Ill. and was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Chruch.

Surviving are two sons Charles Swanson of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Eugene Swanson, Bloomington, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Jones of Downers Grove, Ill. A sister, Mrs. May Nation, Des Moines also survives. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Services will be held at the Ryan Funeral Home Friday morning at 11 a.m. with Kenneth Brandt officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
