Former Resident Dies in California

Mrs. Pearl McConnell, a former resident of Nevada, died in Los Angeles, Calif. Sunday morning after a short illness, according to word received here by her brother-in-law, F. C. Tarman.

Mrs. McConnell lived in Nevada until about 25 years ago. She attended the Nevada schools and later taught school in Nevada. She also attended the Presbyterian Church.

Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. B. Gretsinger, two brothers, Johnnie and William and two sisters, Myrtle Totten Jennie Tarman preceded her in death. One son, Galen Sowers, of Los Angeles, one granddaughter, Jo Ann Hartly and two great granddaughters of Ankeny, survive.

The remains will be cremated and burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery. There will be no service here.
