Joanie Lynn Burgher
January 16, 1954 – November 30, 2018

Joanie Lynn Burgher, 64, of Ames, Iowa passed away peacefully Friday, November 30, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. A private Celebration of life will take place at a later date. Joanie was born in Sarasota, Florida on January 16th, 1954 and raised by Buddy and Joanne (Betts) Johnson. She grew up in Florida and moved to Iowa later in her life.

Joanie will be remembered for her fighting and relentless spirit, and her fun loving personality. She enjoyed hunting for collectables with Alex, whether it was attending an auction or an antique show to find her next treasure. Joanie’s main goal and purpose was to spend as much time as possible with her family, she loved to gather for family meals, and a game of cards.

She is survived by her husband; Alex, daughter; Mary Jo Adams Delacruz (Ignacio), son; Wade Adams, stepson; Seth Burgher, grandchildren; Malachi, Izaiya, Ashton, Noah, mother; Joanne Chenoweth, additional family members in Florida and Georgia and her beloved dog Mosely.

She was preceded in death by her father; Buddy Johnson and step-father; Don Chenoweth.
