Fred Rasmussen, 73, Found Dead In Home Here

Fred Rasmussen, 73, retired mail carrier out of the Nevada Office, was found dead in his home 1309 First street last evening. His brother John Rasmussen and Ivan Shalley investigated, when he had not been seen for a few days.

County Coroner, Dr. A. F. Schanche of Ames was called and stated in his opinion, death was due to a heart attack which he may have suffered on Wednesday.

The body was taken to the Brouhard Funeral Home and a graveside service was held at 11 o'clock to day, with burial in the Nevada cemetery. The Rev. Herbert Kohl of the Nevada Christian church officiated.

Surviving are the brother John of Nevada and seven brothers living in California. The deceased was on of 12 sons born to Chris and Mary Hansen Rasmussen.
