Chris K. Peterson Funeral Services Are Held Saturday

Chris K. Peterson, 714 Third St., was born in Denmark and had lived in this country for the past 58 years. He was a retired carpenter and farmer. Peterson was a member of the Lutheran Church.

He was married to Lena Rasmussen Jan. 9, 1909.

Peterson died at the Story County Hospital Wednesday, Oct. 4, 1961, where he had been a patient since Sept. 15. He was 81 years old.

Survivors include one son, Edward Peterson, Boone; one daughter, Mrs. Earl Prescott, Nevada; one brother, Peter Peterson of Denmark, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and by his wife.

Funeral Services

Funeral services for Chris K. Peterson were held at the Ryan Funeral Home Saturday, Oct. 7, 1961 at 2:00 p. m. with the Rev. Victor Hackbarth officiating.

Mrs. Harry Sutherland, soloist, sang two songs, "The Old Rugged Cross", and "Beyond the Sunset." She was accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Norman Dobson.

The flowers were cared for by Mrs. Karen Johnson and Mrs. Norma May.

Casket bearers were Ben Ackerman, Ole Holsied, Pete Larson, Elmer Prescott, James Sorenson and Zene Stillman.

Burial was in Nevada cemetery.
