Martin Olson, 83, Dies At Home In Story City Tues.
Martin G. Olson, 83, died at his home in Story City at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, following an illness of eleven days.
Olson was born in Hamilton County where for fourteen years he was manager of a creamery in Randall. In 1918 he purchase and moved to a farm near Radcliffe where he made his home until 1950 when he retired. He then moved to Story City.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Harold T. Masted in charge. Burial will be in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Freda; three sons, Floyd B. of Radcliffe, Orlin of Story City and Kenneth M. of Radcliffe; a daughter, Rosella, (Mrs. G. E. Du Bois) McCallsburg; sixteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren; a brother, Lewis of Elmore, Minn., and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Hall of Pasadena, Calif. and Mrs. Melvyna Larson, Des Moines.
