Obituary of Mrs. Christ. Olson

Mrs. Christ Olson, who died at her home in McCallsburg, June 18, 1920, was 76 years, 1 month and 12 days old. She was born near Stavanger, Norway, May 6, 1844 and came to this country in 1868. She was married to Christ. Olson in 1872, at La Salle, Ill., where they lived until 1875, when they moved to Story county, Iowa. They lived on a farm southwest of McCallsburg until the fall of 1910, when they moved to the town of McCallsburg. She leaves to mourn her death six sons and one daughter: Martin Olson of Madison, S. D.; Carl Olson of Clear River, Minn.; Mrs. O. M. Peterson of Ralston, Minn.; Henry, Ole, and Thomas Olson of Thompson, Iowa, and Lars Olson, who lived at home with his mother. She also leaves thirty grandchildren and one great grandchild. The children were all present at the funeral with the exception of Carl, who was unable to be present. Clarence Olson, a grandson, also came. The funeral was held from the Lutheran church Tuesday afternoon, after which interment was made in the Roland cemetery.
