Services Friday for Mrs. E. M. Kriner

Funeral services for Mrs. Elta Kriner, 905 G avenue, were held from the Nevada Methodist church Friday afternoon at 3 p. m. with the Rev. David Ash officiating.

Mrs. Harry Sutherland sang two songs, "Face to Face" and "Beyond the Sunset", accompanied by Mrs. Norman Dobson at the organ.

The many beautiful floral offerings were arranged by Mrs. C. E. Bivens, Mrs. George Hansen, Mrs. J. A. Olinger and Mrs. E. C. Wendel.

A number of members of the Eastern Star, the Loyal Sisters Sunday school class and the D.A.R. attended the funeral service in a body.

The casket bearers were Palmer Brendeland, Kenneth Johnson, George Hansen, M. L. Snyder, Harold Tipton and Elmer Wendel.

Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.

Obituary

Elta M. Kriner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Allard, was born near Colo, Dec. 27, 1877 and died at her home, March 12, 1957 at the age of 79 years, 2 months and 16 days.

She was united in marriage to Emanuel M. Kriner, Aug. 24, 1898. To this union was born one daughter, Neva B. Irons of Spokane, Wash., and one son, Merwin R. Kriner of Pasco, Wash. Mr. and Mrs. Kriner have lived in Nevada since March of 1920.

Mrs. Kriner was a member of the Methodist church and Loyal Sisters Class and Woman's Society of Christian Service. She was a long time member of the D. A. R. and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, of which she was a past Worthy Matron. She was very loyal and faithful to her church and the organizations to which she belonged, as long as her health permitted.

A memorial fund is being established by her family and friends to further perpetuate her memory.

McQuillan, Des Moines; Mrs. Ella Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Chet Hammerstedt of Woodward; Mrs. Anna Wyatt, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Morrell, Mrs. Judy Downs and Mr. and Mrs. Will McBride of Colo; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Jachems of Eldora; Mr. and Mrs. Chrissie Rasmussen, Mrs. Harold Rasmussen, and Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Rasmussen of Zearing; and Mrs. Edward McMillians of Ames.

Friends here from a distance were Mrs. Ward Bauder of Ames, Mrs. W. L. Coff, Mrs. Agnes Clemens, Miss Eulalia Tucker and Mrs. Clyde Corbin of Des Moines.
