Funeral Services On Saturday in Nevaa For Ben Severeide

Funeral services for Bernard J. Severeide, 827 Seventh St., will be held at the Ryan Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. M. C. Shupe officiating.

Severeide died of a heart attack Thursday morning at 9:30 in State Center where he had been on duty with an Iowa Electric crew following an explosion.

The son of Samuel E. and Anna M. Severeide, he was born in Story City January 6, 1906. He was a resident to Story County his entire life.

On December 11, 1936 he was married to Miss Freda Morgan at Bethany, Missouri.

Severeide, who was 59 at the of his death, was a member of the Nevada Methodist Church, the American Legion and the VFW. He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Freda Severeide; Nevada, a brother, Lester Severeide of Ames; and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Ostren [sic] of Story City and Mrs. Odella Twiselton of Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Burial, after funeral services Saturday, will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
