Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Darrell LeRoy Johnson was born on January 23, 1944 in Webster City, Iowa to Leslie and Blanche (Hanson) Johnson. He married Linda Lettow on November 16, 1963. Darrel farmed until 1969; he then managed the Greene County REC and later opened DJ Appliance and TV in Jefferson. He then went to work as a District Manager for Maytag before retiring and moving to Norwalk. Darrell was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Nebraska Cornhuskers; but his great joy was his family and going to his grandchildren’s activities.

Darrell passed away November 6, 2018 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha at the age of 74.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Linda of Norwalk; two sons, Martin (Brenda) Johnson and Corey (Cori) Johnson both of Norwalk; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Rodney (Judy) Johnson of Cedar Rapids and a sister-in-law, Mary Jo Johnson of Stratford.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Stacia Jean Carlson; a great grandson, Ashton Darrell and a brother Marvin.
