DEATHS

Mrs. G. A. Brattebo

Funeral services for Mrs. G. A. Brattebo were held in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City, Monday, January 19, at 2 p.m. with Pastor C.A. Gisselquist officiating.

Mrs. Harold Olson was organist. A duet was sung by Mrs. Ray Romsey and Mrs. Homer Olson.

Burial was in the Story City Municipal cemetery.

Pall bearers were Henry Thorsbakken, Harvey Jorgenson, Silas Espe, Max Strain, Luther Egemo and Magne Idse.

Jeanette Brattebo was born August 4, 1902 in Story City to parents, Henry and Carrie Hovland. She graduated from Story City High School and lived all her life in Story City.

On June 19, 1923, she was united in marriage to Gerhard A. Brattebo. Three children were born to this union.

Mrs. Brattebo died Friday night, January 16, at Story City Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient six days. She was 67 years old at the time of her death.

Survivors include her husband Gerhard, Story City; three sons, William Brattebo, Denver, Colorado, Howard Brattebo of Houston, Texas, and Gary Brattebo, Whittier, California and six grandchildren. Two brothers, Alvin P. Hovland of Blairsburg and Orville Hovland, Webster City and one sister, Mrs. John N. (Inger) Brattebo of Milwaukee, Wis. also survive.
