Obituaries
Mona Violet Dolph Long
October 14, 1903, to Nov. 4, 1994Mona Violet Dolph Long, 91, of Osceola, died of cancer at her home in Osceola.
She was born to John and Gertrude (Longnecker) Link in Washington Township, Polk County near Loring.
On April 29, 1924, she married Earl Stephen Dolph. He preceded her in death in 1952. On June 18, 1968, she married Lowell Long. He preceded her in death in 1974.
She was a member of the Woodburn Christian Church, Sarah Rebekkah Lodge, and American Legion Auxillary.
She is survived by four daughters: Pauline Danner of Woodburn, Luella Rumbaugh of Colo, Marilyn Hitt of Humeston, and Carolyn Whitham of Weldon; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; one sister, Lota Luing; one son, John; one granddaughter; and two sons-in-law.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 6, 1994, at Woodburn Christian Church, Woodburn, with Rev. Densmore Peterson officiating. Burial was in Last Chance Cemetery, Lucas County.
Kale Funeral Homes Osceola, was in charge of arrangements.
