Christina Johnson Dies in Martinez, Calif. June 25th

Mrs. Christina M. Johnson died June 25, 1960 in a Martinez, California hospital at the age of 87. She was born in Denmark October 7, 1872 and came to the United States at the age of one year. Her parents settled in Nevada, Iowa where she grew to womanhood.

At the age of 22 years she was married to Ness Johnson, Jr. and live a number of years in Nevada, Iowa. Her late husband passed away December 30, 1955 and three years ago she came to California where she has since resided.

A member of the Memorial Lutheran Church of Nevada, Iowa and Senior Friendship Club both in Napa and Richmond, California.

Survivors include two sons, Fred C. Johnson of Detroit, Michigan and Arthur T. Johnson of Fullerton, California and one daughter, Mrs. Goldie L. Shuman of Richmond, California with whom she made her home. One granddaughter, Mrs. Norma Green of Fullerton, Calif. and two great grandchildren, Stephen Lower and Susan Lower.

Funeral services were conducted from the Civic Center Chapel of the Wilson & Kratzer Mortuaries, Richmond, California on Tuesday, June 28, 1960 at 3:00 p.m. Committal followed at Sunset View Cemetery, Berkeley, California.
