Last Rites Held Jan. 16 For Mrs. Orville Anderson

Funeral services for Mrs. Orville J. Anderson were held Saturday afternoon, January 18 in Bethel Lutheran Church in Story City at 2 p.m. following a prayer service in the Sunset home at 1:30 p.m.

Burial was in the Story City Municipal cemetery. Pallbearers were Frederick Larson, Richard Teigland, Bert Stensland, Irving Lund, Orville Olson and Herman Olson. Rev. A. J. Bringle officiated at the services.

Obituary

Clara Havnen Anderson, daughter of Dorthea and A. J. Havnen was born at Winnebago county on February 18, 1893 and passed away at the Story City Sunset Home on January 13, 1960 at the age of 66 years.

She was united in marriage to Orville Jay Anderson on February 14, 1914 at Rake, Iowa. They lived on a farm in Minnesota for a number of years and in 1929 moved to Randall, later moving to Story City. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and two children. Survivors include two sons and one daughter, Alvin Anderson of Kansas City, Mo., Dorrance Anderson of Santa Barbara, California and Mrs. Alta Bryant of Bloomington, Illinois. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, three brothers and one sister.
