LOCAL EVENTS

A funeral cortege, composed of a dozen or more cars from Des Moines, accompanied the remains of the late Mrs. Carrie Marie Hutchinson, interment service for whom was held in the Nevada cemetery on Sunday afternoon. The deceased was the widow of Chas. Hutchinson who was buried here about two years ago. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Larson and lived in Nevada as a young girl. Her parents moved from here to Radcliffe and later to McCallsburg. Wm. Tett of McCallsburg and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Fincham of south of McCallsburg and Ray Menzel of Nevada, were among those who met the funeral here and attended the committal services in charge of the minister who accompanied the funeral party from Des Moines. Mrs. Hutchinson died in Kansas City where she had been living with her son Harold since the death of the husband and father.
