Mrs. Rose Hilburn Dies In Hospital
Mrs. Rose Hilburn, 1021 Eighth St., died today at 3:22 a. m. at the Story County Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past four weeks. She was 85 years of age.
Mrs. Hilburn was born July 16, 1876, in Story County, the daughter of George and Louisa Hyden. she had lived in Story County her entire lifetime. Mrs. Hilburn was a member fo the Memorial Lutheran Church.
Survivors include four sons, Clarence of Fernald, Willis of Estherville, George of Odebolt and Howard of Chariton, two daughters, Mrs. Charles F. (Blanche) Wilson and Mrs. John (Beulah) Picht both of Nevada, thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, two brothers, two sons, Walter and Charles, and infant daughter Alice, and by her husband, J. C. Hilburn, in December of 1960.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hilburn will be held at the Memorial Lutheran Church Thursday at 2:00 p. m. with the Rev. Victor Hackbarth officiating. Burial will be in the Murphy Cemetery near Fernald.
