HELEN HANSON

Helen Hanson, 67, of McCallsburg, died August 25, 1981 at her home, suddenly, of a heart attack.

She was born March 19, 1914 in Roland, the daughter of John E. and Clara Britson. On Jan. 1, 1936 she married Harold A. Hanson. Mrs. Hanson lived all her life in the Roland-McCallsburg area.

She is survived by her husband, Harold; two daughters, Sandra Duesenberg of Oskaloosa and Rosalie Otta of Volga, S.D.; five sons, Steve of Ames; Bruce of East Aurora, N.Y.; Tim of Roland; John of Nevada; and Dr. Hall Hanson of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two brothers John C. Britson of Newton and James Britson of Nevada; two sisters, Mary Wicks of Moline, Ill. and Ruth Geifer of San Diego, Calif.; and 14 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 28, at 1:30 p.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church, McCallsburg, with Rev. Oliver Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the McCallsburg Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Soderstrum Funeral Home, Roland from Thursday noon until time of service.
