From Nevada Representative June 7, 1905 (page 2)

Death of Floyd Hansen.

Floyd Worfel Hansen, the four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Hansen, died at their home Friday evening after an illness of four weeks. The child was exceptionally bright and attractive one, and during his protracted illness an unusual concern came to be felt over his condition. He was a victim of tubercular meningitis, and for week before his death his life had been dispaired of by all who had knowledge of his condition. It was also appreciated that, even if he could have survived the disease, its effects upon him must have been to some extent irreparable, and the end therefore had something of the character of relief from hopeless suffering. To see so attractive a child pass away under such conditions touched the heart-strings of innumerable people and called out very wide and deep expressions of sympathy. The funeral was conducted from the house on Sunday afternoon by Rev. J. O. Simon, assisted by Rev. W. B. Sandford, and was attended by a very exceptional crowd of friends and mourners for the funeral of one so young. The services were fitting in all respects, and appropriately the little white casket was borne from the house and to its last resting place by young girl pall-bearers robed in white.
