Rites Held Thursday For L. E. Dobbertin

Funeral services for Louis E. Dobbertin, 68, who died suddenly at his home in Nevada Sunday, were held Thursday afternoon a the Brouhard Funeral Home in Nevada with the Rev. C. E. Lookingbill officiating.

The casket bearers were Laurence Toms, Lester Wiley, Carl Johnson, J. N. Woodruff, Bernard Hayne and Harry Beal. Music was played by Mrs. Otho Kirk and the flowers were cared for by Mrs. Virgil Eyanson and Mrs. W. C. Brouhard Jr. Interment was held in the Nevada cemetery.

Obituary

Louis E. Dobbertin, son of Conrad and Mary Dobbertin, was born May 26, 1888 in Chicago, Ill. and died of a heart attack in Nevada, Iowa on Dec. 2, 1956.

He spent his boyhood days in Chicago and came to Nevada in 1908 where he has resided until his death.

On Dec. 24, 1913, he was united in marriage to Elsie Eiesel. Five children were born to this union.

He is survived by his wife Elsie and four children, Mrs. Iris Auld of Elberon; Mrs. Delores Bainter of Lakewood, Calif.; Myron E. Dobbertin of Albert Lean, Minn., and Mrs. Grace De Booy of Campbell, Calif.; ten grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters. One son, Ransom, preceded him in death.
