Troy Allen Zagar age 49, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 at his home in Ames, Iowa. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa 50010. A graveside Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Slater Cemetery, Slater, Iowa.

Troy was born October 21, 1968 in Ames the son of Phillip and Dorothy (Anders) Zagar. He was raised in the Ames area and graduated from Ballard High School in 1987. He attended DMACC in Transportation and Auto Mechanic. Troy Married Jennifer (Corbin) in Boone, Iowa on February 24,2010. He was an over the road truck driver until 2010, when he retired due to his health. Troy was an Iowa State fan and an avid Minnesota Viking Fan, SKOL.

Troy is survived by his wife Jennifer Zagar, parents Phillip (Dorothy) Zagar, his brother, Jason (Kayla) Zagar, his daughters, Amanda Allen, Natasha Zagar his son's Jacob Howell (Amber Bahr), Cory Corbin (LeAnn Sogard), six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
