Mrs. A. L. Dayton Died Suddenly Late Sunday
Mrs. A. L. Dayton, 67, of 313 K avenue died Sunday evening at 7:00 o'clock at Iowa sanitarium, where she had been taken for care Saturday evening. Complications resulting from a goitre caused the death.
Mrs. Dayton who had been a resident of Nevada for over 40 years, was born at Freeport, Illinois, October 5, 1869 and came with her parents to Story county as a young girl.
The husband died May 15, 1933 and she leaves but one daughter, Mrs. Blanche Griffith of Ames.
She also leaves a brother, Charles Menzel of near McCallsburg and a sister Mrs. Emma Bakke of McCallsburg.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dayton will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Morfoot Funeral home and burial will be in the Nevada cemetery. The service will be in charge of her pastor, Dr. C. D. Loose of the Methodist Episcopal church.
