Services Held For Mrs. Thea Bunson
Funeral services for Mrs. Thea Brunson were held at the Ryan Funeral Home Saturday, Jan. 18 at 2 p. m. with the Rev. Victor Hackbarth officiating.
Leslie Henderson furnished the music for the service.
Casket bearers were Ralph Bryant, Roy Bryant Fred Stenson, Truman Stenson, Duane Tweedt, and Everett Tweedt.
Interment was beside her husband in the Nevada Cemtery.
Obituary
Mrs. Thea Brunson was born in Story County, Iowa, on July 3, 1880, the daughter of Lars and Sarah (Houge) Stenson. She died at the Good Samaritan Center at Albert Lea, Minn. Jan. 15 at the age of 83.
Her early life was spent mostly in and around Nevada and on Nov. 18, 1900 she was united in marriage to Herbert Rollin Brunson.
In 1914 the family moved to Minnesota and were engaged in farming. After the death of her husband in 1953 Mrs. Brunson moved to Alden, Minn. where she resided ten years. She had been in failing health the past two months. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, Herbert, two sisters, brother and a great-grandson.
Survivors are one son, Fred of Alden, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Winnie Gear, Nevada; and Mrs. Edward Tweedt, Slater; one brother, Eargen Stenson, Wilmot, S. D.; three grandchildren, Royce Brunson, Glenville, Mrs. Wayne Briggs, Northfield and Merlin Brunson, of Albert Lea, all in Minnesota. Also surviving are 11 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
