Story City Woman Dead After an Brief Illness

Special to the Journal:
Story City, April 10--Mrs. Caroline Miller, 71, died at her home just north of here Saturday night at 1000 after an illness of a few weeks. She had been taken home from the Story City hospital about a week ago.

Born Caroline Jensen, a native of Denmark, she came to America and Story City when a girl about 20 years of age and this had been her home since with the exception of a short time spent in Oklahoma.

Married three times, her first husband was Soren Anderson, deceased and there is one son John surviving. Next she married Sam Clausen, also dead, and the one son Nels Clausen made his home upon the farm with her. Next she was married to Andrew Miller, but they had not lived together for some time.

Besides the sons John Anderson of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Nels Clausen, at home, she leaves brothers Martin Jensen of Story City and Jacob Jensen of Des Moines; sisters Mrs. J. M. Johnson and Mrs. Fred Williams of Story City and a brother and sister in Denmark.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 at Grace Evangelical church here with Rev. G. L. Bergeman in charge. Burial will be in Center cemetery south of Story City.
