Chas. Hopkins Dead, Body Brought Back From Clinton to Colo
Colo, May 19--Thomas R. Hopkins, 68, former Story county man, died Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at his home in Clinton, following a stroke on Thursday, May 8, from which he had never regained consciousness.
Thomas Hopkins, born on the old Hopkins farm northwest of Colo, Jan. 9, 1873, was one of the several children of the late David and Ellen Hopkins, and was for many years employed on the Northwestern as a bridge foreman, but has been retired lately.
He leaves his wife, Ethel Hopkins, brothers Joe, John and James, and sisters Mary Hopkins and Mrs. Anna McGinnis.*
Funeral services will be held at Clinton this morning and the body brought to Nevada, arriving on No. 2 at 6:37 this evening.
The body will be taken from the station to the old Hopkins farm northwest of Colo and interment will be Tuesday at St. James cemetery.
