SUDDEN DEATH OF AMES WOMAN

MRS. RALPH DOWNEY VICTIM OF ATTACK GALL BLADDER TROUBLE

Ames, July 15--Mrs. Ralph Downey, 37, died very suddenly at her home here about 9:30 Thursday evening.

In her usual health until early Wednesday morning she had an acute attack of gall bladder trouble early in the morning, which passed away and returned early in the evening. Her death was sudden and unexpected.

Mrs. Downey, whose maiden name was Lela Golden, was well known around Nevada before her marriage to Mr. Doweny

She leaves besides her husband one daughter Miss Caroline Downey about 15 years of age.

She is a niece of Mrs. W. F. Stratton* of Nevada and has numerous other relatives over the county.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Lela Viretta (Golden) Downey was the daughter of Isaac Chester Golden and Luella Loretta Stratton therefore a niece of the Strattons.
