Tribute of Respect.

The following extract from the minutes of Nevada Lodge, A. F. and A. M., in reference to the decease of George Dale, is published in compliance with a request of the members of the fraternity to that effect.

HALL OF NEVADA LODGE, A. F. and A. M.}
May 21st A. D. 1864}

The following preamble and resolutions being offered were unanimously adopted:

WHEREAS: It has pleased Almighty God to call from our midst Bro. George Dale of Paolia Lodge Kansas, in the prime and vigor of his manhood therefore,

Resolved, That we, the brethren of Nevada Lodge, No. 99, Iowa recognize in this dispensation of Providence another illustration of the truth that "in the midst of life we are in death."

Resolved, That we tender to the sympathizing friends of our deceased brother, and to the brethren of the Lodge of his affiliation our sincere sympathy in this the hour of their affliction, and remind them that "when the wisdom and strength of man faileth there is fountain of inexhaustable support above obtained through the medium of prayer."

Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be forwarded to the friends of our deceased brother, and also to Paolia Lodge, Kansas.

Resolved, That as a mark of respect the members of Nevada Lodge No. 99 will wear the usual mourning badge for thirty days.
