Daniel Lee Brown, 66, of Colo, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Dan was born June 13, 1952, in Iowa City, the son of Robert George and Betty Lou (Quillen) Brown. He graduated from Gilbert High School in 1971 and married Paula Louise Babberl. Dan had worked for Nevada Schools as a bus driver and at Sam’s Club from 2006 until his retirement in 2016. He enjoyed visiting with his friends and family and grilling out. Dan will be remembered for his jokes and sarcastic personality.

Dan is survived by his mother, Betty Brown of Colo; his daughter, Rebecca Ludwick (Mike Williams) of Colo and his brother, Donald (Deanna) Brown of Colo. He was preceded in death by his father; his wife in 2007; his brother, Dennis Brown; and his mother-in-law, Betty Holmes.

Dan has been cremated and a celebration of life will be at a later date.
