Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Marjorie A. Benson, 94, of Ames died on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Mary Greeley Medical Center. A funeral service will be at 10:00 am with a visitation one hour prior on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Ascension Lutheran Church in Ames. Burial will follow in Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Marjorie was born on January 14, 1924 in Jewell to Sam and Maggie (Gabrielson) Olson. She retired from the accounting department at the Iowa Department of Transportation. She was an avid bowler and loved to golf.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Rode of Ames and her sons, Ryan Sheeler and Aaron (Rosemary) Sheeler and Pat Kingsbury of Ames; 2 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; granddaughter; 4 brothers; and 1 sister.
