PIONEER COLLINS WOMAN IS DEAD
MRS. JOSEPH DICKSON WILL BE BURIED MONDAY--SERVICES AT 11:00.

Collins, Dec. 27--Mrs. Elizabeth Anne Dickson, 76, died at her home here at an early hour today from heart failure following a complication of disease.The funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 at the Collins Methodist church, with Rev. John Adamson in charge. Interment will be in the Collins cemetery by the side of her husband, a Civil war veteran, who passed away July 11, 1925.
Mrs. Dickson had been failing for some time and her death was due to various complications.
Mrs. Dickon was born in Luverne county, Pennsylvania, November 15, 1854. When as a child of seven years she came west with her parents, stopping first in Illinois. Later the family came on to Iowa and settled on a farm over in Jasper county south of Collins.
It was at Nevada that she was united in marriage to Joseph Dickson on November 15, 1876, the day that she was 22 years of age.
To this union four children were born. One daughter died in infancy and the only son Benjamin Dickson died August 21, 1909. Two daughters Mrs. Ruth Stanton and Mrs. Iva Inman, both living near Collins survive her, as do five grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 8 brothers and sisters.
