Charles Butt Met Death in Accident At Livingston
Charles Butt, who lived in Nevada in an early day, was killed in a fall from a high scaffold on a building on which he was working at his trade as a carpenter, at Livingston, Mont., where he had lived for the past thirty years, according to word received by Mrs. Nancy Bamberger of 806 Eighth street, Nevada, a cousin.
The Butt family lived in a residence at the corner of Eighth and G avenue, the site of the present L. C. Rierson home, Charles being the only son of family in which there were several girls. He will be buried at Livingston where other member of the family died and are buried. The unfortunate man was possibly about 65 years of age.
SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Charles Butt was the son of Samuel Butt and Lucy Catherine Talbott. Nancy Jane (Talbott) Bamberger, mentioned as a cousin, was the daughter of William Stevens Talbott and Martha Jane Rose. William Stevens Talbott and Lucy Catherine Talbott were brother and sister, children of William Hillary Talbott and Nancy Catherine Connor.
