MRS SEVERSIKE BURIED TODAY

CAMBRIDGE WOMAN DIED AT HOSPITAL IN MARSHALLTOWN SATURDAY

Cambridge, Aug 12--Mrs. Levi Seversike died at the Marshalltown hospital Saturday, afternoon at about 4:00 o'clock. She had been a sufferer from carcinoma the pas seven months. In the latter part of March, accompanied by her aunt, Mrs. Knute Knockling, she was taken to Glendale, California for treatment. For a time it seemed she had improved but it was of short duration and slowly her life and strength wasted away and it was soon evident that all could be done was to make the end comfortable as possible. Early in July she took a turn for the worse and Mr. Seversike was called to the bedside at Glendale. She rallied and the family decided to bring her home as she wished to see her children. They arrived last Sunday morning over the Northwestern and Mrs. Seversike was taken to Marshalltown and placed in the hospital there where every attention was given by doctors, nurses, friends and relatives but to no avail.

Mrs. Seversike was born Olive Sesker, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Sesker. She is survived by the father, her mother having died several years ago. Her husband, four children, Leslie the eldest about 12 years, Wilma 10, Don and Carol 3.

Three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Anderson of Raleigh, North Carolina, who was to leave Saturday from Kansas City on a European trip to be gone a year, and it is doubtful whether she can be reached as they will motor to New York. Julia and Bernice of Glendale, California. Four brothers, Bayard, of near Maxwell, Neal and Arthur of this place, Leonard of near Kelley. The father lives in Cambridge.

Mrs. Seversike had reached the age of about 40 years and was a devoted wife and mother.

Funeral services were held today at one at the home and two at the Lutheran church in Cambridge. Her pastor, Rev. Peter Bulard, was in charge. Interment was in the local cemetery.
