BOOHER FUNERAL THIS AFTERNOON
YOUNG WIFE STILL CONFINED TO SANITARIUM IN SERIOUS CONDITION
While relatives and friends gathered at the Morfoot Funeral home at 2:00 this afternoon for the final rites for Chrles E. Booher, 26, who died Friday from the effects of injuries suffered in a motor car accident late Thursday evening, the wife is lying at Iowa sanitarium, slowly recovering from her injuries but unable to attend the funeral of the husband.
It was reported today that the condition of Mrs. Booher, 26, who suffered a fractured skull and other injuries, appears to be improving as rapidly as the serious nature of her injuries will permit.
Funeral services for the ill-fated young man were conducted by Rev. J. R. Adams of the Nevada Church of Christ after which his body was interred in the Nevada cemetery.
Charles Edwin Booher, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Booher, was born five mile north of Colo, Feb. 8th, 1904, died at Nevada August 8th, 1940, at the age of 26 years, 6 months.
Mr. Booher has sent most all of his life in this community and at the time of his death was resident of Grant township. He was united in marriage to Miss Marie Lang in 1926, to this union three children were born, two of them having preceded him in death.
Mr. Booher leaves to mourn his death his wife who is now in the sanitarium, his little son Robert Franklin; 5 brothers, Frank of Prairie City, Oscar of Charles City, Mario of Boulder, Colorado, Howard of Des Moines, Winnie of King Hill, Idaho; 2 sisters, Mrs. Cora Conklin of Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Matilda Ford of Nevada, and many other relatives and friends. Mr. Booher was a son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Lange also of Grant township.
Mr. Booher's father and mother and two sisters preceded him in death, Mrs. V. L. Booher died Feb. 20, 1911, and Mr. Booher died March, 1927; two sisters also dying in infancy.
Oscar and Frank Booher, and one sister Mrs. M. B. Ford, are the relatives able to attend the funeral.
