SUDDEN DEATH OF ANNAS PRESCOTT
LOCAL MAN DIED FOLLOWING SUDDEN ATTACK OF TROUBLE
Annas Prescott of 509 M avenue died Sunday at 4:30 from the effects of gangrenous appendix for which he submitted to an operation during the early morning hours.
Mr. Prescott had been in his usual health until Tuesday when he was compelled to give up his work and go home. Thursday a physician was called and he continued to grow more serious until Saturday night when he was hurried to Iowa Sanitarium where he was operated upon early Sunday morning.
The funeral services will beheld at the Memorial Lutheran church in Nevada Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, after which interment will be in the Nevada cemetery.
Mr. Prescott who had moved to Nevada from a farm in Milford township about two years ago, has been employed for some time by the Nevada Poultry Company.
He leaves besides his wife and seven small children, his mother, Mrs. Mary Prescott, four brothers and two sisters. The brothers are Elmer Prescott of northwest of Nevada, Thomas Prescott of Nevada, Oscar Prescott of Vinton and Marion Prescott of Des Moines. The sisters are Mrs. Amie Evans and Mrs. Edna Anfinson of Nevada.
He was a native of Milford township, being a son of Ole and Mary Prescott, who lived for many years on section 21, Milford township.
